Liziz Log - Les Olivetts

In every direction it is a photo op. Nestled in the middle of an olive orchard, our villa "Les Olivetts" offers suites with picturesque views from every window.  My suite is arrived at by taking the circular stone staircase off the great salon, up to my private sitting room with its own balcony, then into the main room featuring a kitchenette, and a sitting area for TV and music, to a hallway with a bathroom on the left,  On the right, accessible through a charming old door with a great big key, is the closet, and then into my bedroom, beautifully appointed.  Angela and Derek's suite is off a terrace and even more enchanting. Each morning a basket of fresh baguettes and croissants are left by our doors.

This morning we were easing into the day, when I heard a call from the Great Room, and peeked over my balcony to see my niece Jenny Rammeson in her running clothes and sleeping James in a jogging stroller.  She had "run over" from their villa about a mile away to check out our "digs".  We made plans to meet them tonight in the Chateau (castle) in the village for dinner.   I have just come in from a refreshing swim in the pool, and playing water pistols with David and Hannah.  I don't know where the day has gone, but it is time to get ready to go out and experience the food and wine of Provence.  Love, Liz
