What could be more beautiful than Switzerland in winter?  The answer is Switzerland in summer!  Today Angela and I took a trip to visit one of the best preserved villages of Switzerland's earliest history, the village do Saint Ursanne.  The journey to get there, on train and bus was spectacular in itself!  Corn and wheat fields hug the river with a  backdrop of green meadows forests and towering mountains.  located throughout this landscape are the picturesque chalets adorned with window boxes of bright flowers.  Truly, one is transported to another place in time while traveling through walled-in towns with winding  cobble stone streets.

At the moment, Derek, David and Hannah are in Ireland visiting Derek's family.  Angela and  I will take the train down to Zurich tomorrow evening to meet the plane bringing them home.  Meanwhile, Angela and I are enjoying a  rare opportunity for some uninterrupted mother-daughter visiting time.  It is 9:00 at night, and just starting to get dark.  Bon Nuit!
